Main Routes to Canada PR
There is no single path to Canadian PR — the right route depends on your education, work experience, language scores, and provincial connections.
Express Entry — Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
Canada's flagship immigration system. Points-based (CRS score). Invitations issued in regular draws. Fastest route for skilled professionals with strong English/French and foreign work experience.
Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Designed for those who already have at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada. Typically sees the lowest CRS cutoffs and fastest processing.
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Each Canadian province runs its own immigration streams targeting specific skills and occupations. A provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points — virtually guaranteeing an ITA.

How Canada PR Works — Step by Step
The Express Entry process is the most common route. Here's a simplified overview of how it works from start to landing:
Eligibility Assessment

IELTS / Language Test

IRCC Processing & Approval
